Congratulations to Jimmy, Jenny and their three children, Lucas, Bethany and Oliver from Indiana, USA, for beating strong competition to be appointed to run Vorovoro during the fourth year.
Jimmy will be Project Director and Jenny on-island Tribe Manager, working alongside the full-time Fijian team. They will return to Vorovoro early November for one year.

Jenny
Bula sia! I’m known to many as Mama Jenny (to avoid confusion with Wavu Jenny!) and am the mama to the 3 blue-eyed imps you will soon find waiting to meet you on the shores of Vorovoro. Before coming to Vorovoro, I spent my time managing our busy family tribe and caring for and schooling the children, as well as doing a bit of free lance portrait photography and work as a childbirth educator, doula, and birth assistant. Island life suits me well, and any time spent barefoot in the sun or under the stars makes me happy. Learning is what keeps life fresh for me, and I am always up for new experiences. I’m happiest when doing something physical, so you can often find me working outside, enjoying a swim or a snorkel, exploring tide pools with one of my kiddos, doing some yoga, taking a run, or setting off on a hike. I’m looking forward to having good times with you on your next trip to Vorovoro!

Jimmy
Bula Sia,
I’m Jimmy, or Papa Jimmy, as I have been called. For the last 13 years, I have been working at a car dealership, managing a parts department for the bulk of those years. I left that job before coming to Vorovoro, and haven’t looked back! I have 3 beautiful and rambunctious kiddos, and a wonderful wife who accompanies me here on Vorovoro, and between the five of us, there is always something exciting going on. You may find me anywhere on the island, from mucking the pigs, to playing a game of volleyball, poking my nose into the kitchen, or under a heap of kids in one of the hammocks. I love meeting new friends and learning new things, and I can think of no better place on Earth to do that than right here on Vorovoro. Looking forward to meeting you soon!

Oliver
Hi, I’m Oliver. I am 5 years old and I love living on Vorovoro because there are lots of good friends there . My favorite things to do are catching and eating fish, fight ingJim and taking his sulus, making coconut jewelry with Pupu, sitting on the grog mat, and helping drive the boat with Jone and Api. I like doing work around the island like helping feed the pigs, helping cleaning up on Tui Tuesdays, collecting eggs from the chickens, watering the garden, and collecting firewood. It’s so much fun living on Vorovoro!

Bethany
My name is Bethany and I am 8 years old (9 in January!). Some of my favorite things to do at my home in Indiana are to read books and play with my friends. I also love music and musical instruments. At my new home on Vorovoro, I love having the freedom to explore, meeting new people all the time, and learning new things. What I mostly do on Vorovoro is go exploring around the island, play along the beach, swim and snorkel, help in the kitchen, and hang out in the hammocks. One of my favorite things to do is lay in a hammock looking out at the ocean and listen to the waves crashing and the wind blowing through the tree tops.
Tip: NEVER stand or sit under a coconut tree!
Moce for now!
