Everything you need to start blogging is automatically setup for you once you become a tribe member!

Getting started

Creating a new blog is simple. Once you login to Tribewanted community, scroll over the ‘Share’ dropdown menu and click on the ‘New Blog’ link. Enter a title for your blog and start writing! You can then make your blog pretty by attaching a photo via the right hand column of the ‘New Blog’ screen!

Power player

Blogs support some basic formatting. Use the buttons at the top of the blog body to format your text.

You can also embed links in your blog posts. Click the ‘Formatting Help’ link above the blog body box for some basic instructions.

There is also support for safe HTML tags within your blog post.

Advanced options

For advanced users, there are two additional features that have been built into our blogging system that you may wish to use. The first of these features is the ability to add ‘tags’ to your blog, to help make your blog easier to find. We’ve already posted some information on what tags are and how you can use them in your blogs

The second advanced option available to members of the Tribewanted online community is the ability to create a permalink to your blog. In this way, you can easily reference your blog. For example, this blog’s permalink is how-to-blog, which gives it the easy-to-remember URL:

http://www.tribewanted.com/blog/how-to-blog

Related information

Do you have pictures you want to relate to your blog post? How about other tribe members, or uploaded files?

After you’ve created a blog, you can return to edit it and add related items such as other members, photos, and files!

Searching blogs

We now have a quick and easy way to search for any blog that has been posted on the Tribewanted website. You can find this feature by once again scrolling over the ‘Share’ dropdown menu and clicking on the ‘(share)’ link.
Just type in your search terms and it will search through every blog that’s ever been posted on the site. We hope that this addition to the blogging interface will prove especially useful for new users of the site.

Commenting

You should also notice that at the very bottom of every blog that has been created on our site, you can ‘Add your own comment!’ to the blog. Click the link, type your comment, and voila – your comment is attached to that blog forever
