"Being a chief of the tribe was an experience. The chance to meet so many people from across the world and to integrate so closely with a Fijian community, with no boundaries, was too great to miss."

- Kimbo, November ‘06 Chief, and ex-Island Manager

"Sometimes when I look back on the pictures and remember my time on Vorovoro, it seems too perfect to ever have been my life."

- Riah, December ‘06 Chief

"We had achieved a lot in the time I was there, we had built 2 lofts in the Great Bure, had finished and furnished the Chief bure, had built 7 beds from the driftwood, had built a Tree house, a Poker table, a Football Pitch and had started the Water tank. Altogether it was the best 2 months of my life and I plan to go back as soon as I possibly can."

- Craig Enderby, Tui Bitu, March ‘07 Chief

  • Proof of previous activity in the tribe

  • Reference from another Tribe member

  • Genuine leadership skills and proof of relevant previous experience

  • Enthusiasm – you will be expected to lead from the front

  • Strong communication skills
