Tribewanted: Vorovoro

It’s been a crazy few weeks. Well, to be honest, a crazy few months! From the time we stepped off the plane in Indianapolis in early September, we worked full tilt to get our affairs in order so we could return to Vorovoro to lead the project into its 4th year. We must have been under the influence of waaaay too much grog when we told our Vorovoro friends that it would be quick and easy to get our affairs in order – reality set in when we arrived back and set forth on the task of selling a house, renting out another one, getting school curriculum for the kids, buying clothing and essentials for all of us for a year, visiting friends and family, finding homes for pets, packing up our home, and dozens of other little details that added up to a insanely busy 9 weeks of preparation. But alas, it all came together and here we are in our new island home, energized and ready to pour our abundance of motivation and inspiration into this amazing project! Jim and Bebe have done an excellent job of making the transition easy all around, and we are ready to hit the sand running – our love for the project, the Fijian culture, and our Fijian friends and family grows with each day as we settle into our new roles.

Thank you to all who have written to welcome us back to Fiji and into our new roles. We are looking forward to seeing some familiar faces during our time on VV, as well making loads of new friends from around the world.
