Tribal Fishing

Tribal Fishing

The Mali village of Ligalevu revived a classic fishing tradition for the tribe this week by weaving a ring of coconut leaves vetween rocks to catch fish as the tide goes out. Successful? Yes, in that we all learnt how to build a Fijian fish-trap. No, in the sense that we got the tide wrong so there very few fish. That didn’t seem to bother Chief Wildgeeza because he had his spear. It’s the simple simple things heh chief!

Tribal Yoga

Tribal Yoga

Gigi (67), the eldest tribe member to visit Vorovoro, teaches the tribe the ‘colied cobra’, ‘happy cow’ and ‘crying baby’ – or something along those lines. Rai & Kaesa demonstrated that spending most of your life sitting cross-legged on the floor gave you a massive advantage when it came to yoga. The builders looked on, “We saw this game on TV once.” Vinaka Gigi!
