I am home now. Unfortunately I had to leave the island on the 28th instead of the 30th as I had a badly sprained ankle and after going to the hospital for xrays the doctor ordered me to "stay completely off it, ice it and elevate it" which was next to impossible on the island with the bathroom being up 13 steps and all. Trying to walk in the sand was excruciating as well. Luckily our Chief for May had already arrived so the reins were handed over to him a few days early. I couldn’t get an earlier flight home so I just went to Nadi and stayed in a hotel were I was able to rest my ankle, elevate it and order room service. So I didn’t have to do much walking. Also the porters would come and give me a ride to anywhere I needed to walk to, very nice of them! My sincere thanks to Ben for making the reservation for me at the Sonaisali Island Resort.

I was saddened to have to leave early, but I did have the most amazing time of my life there. I am looking forward to going back in ‘09 and seeing all the progress as well as seeing how much my little coconut tree has grown.

To those of you who have not gone yet – make your plans and get your rears out there, you won’t regret it I promise! There are no words to express how amazing it is, however one little clue would be three young ladies who heard of TW from Spud while they were traveling so they came to Fiji and joined when they arrived. They signed up for a week but after 3 days on the island they canceled thier trip to Austrailia and signed on to stay two more weeks in Vorovoro! Maybe that will give you a little bit of an idea of how amazing it is!
