Taking the Boat to Vanua Levu

TAKING THE BOAT is an alternative to flying to Labasa if you have a bit more time, a sense of adventure, and want to save some dollars. There are all kinds of combinations of boats and bus routes to get you to Labasa. Bligh Water Shipping has two main routes > Lautoka to Savusavu and Suva to Savusavu, with an additional FJ$6 bus fare to get from Savusavu to Labasa (which is suprisingly good value for an approx. 3 hour bus trip).

- Once you have found the route that fits with your schedule or if you need further info on planning your transport please contact > Amelia (amelia@blighwatershipping.com.fj) who will deal with all Tribe member enquiries and bookings.

- To make a booking and payment you can simply confirm your booking with Amelia before you travel to Fiji and pay when you arrive.

Traveling by boat is a great way of seeing more of Fiji but please allow at least 24 hours for the journey and some patience, a bit of ‘Fiji time’ is do be expected.
