Tribewanted: Vorovoro

Vorovoro is taking a breather, after four years and four months of visiting tribe members, community development and adventures the island will be taking some much needed time out during this years rainy season.

Closing after new years celebration for 3 months and re-opening at the start of April 2011 will allow the land and family some well earned rest.

We are looking for an individual or couple to live on Vorovoro alongside the family as a caretaker.

Island caretaker responsibilities:

- oversee grounds maintenance, Grass cutting, mat sunning, roof leaks etc..

- monitoring water supply

- care of livestock

- stipend management with family

- security and tours for visitors

- Monitoring batteries in power house

- communication with Tribewanted team and online updates for members online

- availability first three months of 2011

Island caretaker costs:

Fuel for boat trips to town: approx $100fj a week

Basic materials: approx $50-100fj a week

Community social costs: (kava, extra transport etc…) $60-$100fj a week

Personal groceries (island fruits and veggies are free!), and communications

Island caretaker benefits:
