"the tribe really is part of the Fijian community" - (July 07)

In one sentence, describe your experience on Vorovoro
Adventure, experience, sunshine, community, friends, meke, challenge, compost loos, “get your grog on”, vina’a!

What was the highlight/favourite moment of your stay?
The highlight of the stay had to be the chief handover ceremony. Getting everything ready, being a proper girly-girl (for once) making garlands, learning the mekes from the god that is Tevita, it was a great time. It showed how much the tribe really is part of the Fijian community, something that was reinforced at Tui Atama’s Isa Lei when EVERYONE turned out to see him off. Although the extreme-cross-country-kava session was also pretty unique, in a hot and sweaty sort of way!
