Tribewanted: Vorovoro

“We’ve just arrived in Fiji and would love to stay on Vorovoro”

Is an email I get a lot and enjoy replying ‘YES, you can join the tribe here…’

But yesterday for the first time Tribewanted history, the answer was…

“I am sorry there is no space on the island at the moment…”

How bitter/ sweet turning people away-

Numbers on the island have remained high for a while now and with every corner of every bure and vale full, we had to make that choice to say no more for now!

Word is really spreading, in and around Fiji and to those people who are traveling to the country. When we first arrived in Fiji and you told people about Tribewanted, they had not heard of it before. But I was in Nadi for a couple of days last week and when you are in and around hostels, bars, cafes etc and your chatting to people, they have already heard about Tribewanted and want to know more.

Also we are being told by our travel partners that people love the project and how soon can they come out!

It’s amazing to see the excitement and interest in the project, reach the island, especially having just spent a week on Vorovoro.

Knowing how well it’s going and how members are enjoying their time and not wanting to leave. And importantly for me, being able to talk and spend time with Tui Mali, Te, Pupu and all the Fijians and here how happy they are and how well they think its all going, I love watching the smiles on all their faces as the fill me in on stories I have missed and tell what’s been going on.

The island is at its busiest ever and its running so smoothly and being enjoyed by all. (Gilo and team, that’s a massive well done and thank you to you guys!)

But I think due to all the above reasons, the numbers of people on the island our going to remain high especially considering we only have 15 ½ months of this project left (scary!) and a high number of existing members still to book or use their time on the island.

So guys if you haven’t already booked your stay or our planning your visit for a certain month, please, please book now, so you don’t miss out!
