Tribe members report on recent blustery weather on Vorovoro Island

Hammock Society president blames high tides on ‘People in the Northern Hemisphere doing too much exercise with ripples affecting currents in the South Pacific.’ (Is this a subliminal message for man-made climate change?)

Wavu Dan looks set to win the gong for best supporting actor with his passionate performance in ‘Fallen-bridge over river Wai’ and his dead-pan delivery of the immortal line, ‘what storm?’

Meanwhile Sustainability Manager Ben Katz refuses to give up his bachelor beach pad

It has been reported that all tribe members and team Fiji are safe and happy in the Great Bure…

ah, the hammock society blames the vibrations of northern hemisphere athletes for high tides in the south pacific – I knew this conspiracy would surface

Hi Jim, Glad everyone is safe and sound. Are you sure this isn’t a sign to get you off your ass. Is my Turbine still spinning ( I dare you to jog down to Poasa’s house and back )?

I must have been in cloud cuckoo land not to have heard about THE WEATHER you are experiencing. The video is a blast – such fun.

But seriously are any of Team Fiji’s families in trouble because of these rains / winds / floods? And looking at the Fiji Met Office it looks as if the rain is set to continue for another 2/3 days at least. Are you are all OK for food etc for several days? And what about those trying to arrive in Nadi and those trying to leave?

Hope you have time to answer.

The island is fine and adapting to weather changes: http://www.tribewanted.com/forums/7/topics/1517
We have enough food and supplies here, we’re running a normal operation – the reef trip will probably be canceled.

All of Team Fiji’s families remain safe.

Flights are being delayed etc, we will be adjusting to each case individually while the storms continue.

Haha, this movie is brilliant, I’m still laughing. Great reporting guys, looks like it’s so much fun on the island at the moment despite the crazy weather. High tide! xx
