50 things to do.

Julie Lombard By Wild Palm, California, USA Posted 15 Apr 2007

Alright, this came up a few times in Dublin and got me thinking about what the top 50 things I want to do still in life are. Here’s what I have so far, in no particular order.

1)Go on a treasure hunt, Indian Jones style and not on reality TV.

2)Become fluent in at least 2 other languages.

3)Start a nature preserve. I’d like to buy up the land around the 1/2 acre I own now to do this.  Much of which is currently owned by friends and family that may be looking to sell it for their retirement.  Right now there’s a beautiful canyon in back that used to be filled with wild life. Unfortunately though developers on the other side have scared a lot off already.

4)Read all the classics

5)Finish and publish my own novel.

6)Learn to scuba dive

7)Take voice lessons.

8)Learn to dance: Tap, Irish and waltz.

9)Go to a real ball and dance the night away with the man of my dreams

10)Sell my screen plays

11)Have lines in a major motion picture.

12)Write lyrics for and record a CD.

13)Go on a real African safari—NOT the touristy type.

14)Travel the ancient spice route, maybe on a donkey.

15)Design and build my own home looking over the sea.

16)Start a production company.

17)Go on an archeological dig. (This and #1 could go together)

18)Have a family

19)Write as proficiantly with my left hand as with my right.

20)Meet my CCF Children

21)Learn to ice skate

22)Go on a barefoot cruise through the Carribean

23)Write a series of childrens adventure stories that explore different cultures.

24)Sport participation:Become good at playing tennis and volly ball,Surf and stay on the board more than 1/2 a second. Beat my time in the Honolulu marathon.

25)Learn about herbal remedies.

26)Spend time on a tropical island living off the land, no modern convieniences, like Gilligans Island.

 27)Cruise the Panama Canal

28)Help rescue and provide a safe haven for people who are still being sold into slavery.  Yes even today it’s happening.

29)Adopt Romanian orphans.  Unwanted children are a huge problem there.  Many of them living in the sewers and not enough room for them in the orphanages.

30)Wherever I build my home I want a nice kitchen so that I can cook home made meals to take to the hungry or even welcome them to my home.

31)Home school and travel with my children.

32)Marry man agreeable to all these…This may be the toughest to achieve.

33)Have horses.

34)Explore India and ride an Elephant there. I did the camel in Egypt, so I think it only logical.

35)Solve a true mystery!  A murder would be interesting.

36)Investigate and publish my theories on the Bermuda Triangle, Time, and all sorts of other mysterious and philisophical questions.

37)Go to a Polo match, Wimbledon, Rugby (it really grew on me!)

38)Visit every country of the world at least once.

39)Trace my ancestors back to the time of Noah and see where I fit into the great world map of Geneology.

40)Learn and know all the constellations of the sky.  Right now I can’t spot much beyond the dippers.

41)Learn to drive a stick shift.  This could be vital when visiting 3rd world countries.

42)Learn to play the guitar, piano and violin

43)Learn massage.

44)Stay in a supposedly haunted castle, hotel or ship

45)Go to the Passion Play in Oberammerau Austria

46)Go to the Olympic games.

47)Vacation somewhere where I don’t need to worry about packing clothes ;)

Oh boy, down to the final three.  What to choose, what to choose…Granted there’s a few I really can’t post…see last post…Did I just write that? Must be getting into a tropical island mood! ;)

48)Travel on the Orient express

49)Do all those things I won’t post here (see above comment)

50)Too too many things. Already done some consolidating. So 50 is everything else!
