Hey tribe, sorry for the delay on the stats. But the good news – on island produce has gone up to 22.2% in Feb, which is up almost 15% from Jan. Gardens starting to bear regular fruit and Marau is fighting off the tiger sharks to bring in more amazing fish every week!

Waste stats to follow soon. We’ll do a break down of where the food comes from again in April

Good to hear Giles.

I had one thought after reading that. It would have be great to know while I was on the island what parts of the meals were coming from the island. I was actually surprised to see that almost 25% was directly from the island. I am a gardener and while I did see some incredible potential for growing things on the island the gardens did not look like they were producing yet. maybe mention that stat in your thur afternoon meeting just so folks know.
Thanks

Kevin

the stats are based on weight, and the fish that marau brings in really help bring the percentage up. The food from the gardens weighs very little in comparison but still counts! we’ll aim to make tribe more aware when they are eating garden vegies!
