Has Vorovoro disappeared?

I just tried to find the “familiar” Vorovoro webpages and I cannot navigate to anywhere on the site that gives me information on the island. What has happened? I see a blog “is the project still on?” and I am asking myself the same. There is no recent news anywhere, and no explanation. I came to read some of the great entries that were there by the Cahills, and see what activity there is on the island. I have seen that it is to close for a period until some time in April, is it already closed? If a newcommer comes to the site they will not be inspired to go to Vorovoro, the Sierra Leon information completely overshadows Vorovoro, Vorovoro seems to have disappeared. OK, I have found a recent post, Nov. 10, on facebook, by Ian. this helps.BUT

How are people supposed to find out about Vorovoro? Has all the great past history disappeared? I feel like I have lost something dear to me. I have not been online for sometime, due to work, now I find zilch.

Vorovoro needs those pages where there were blogs, where a person could see what the island life has been for the past years since Vorovoro was created.

HELP!

Hi Sharon, all I found was something about it reopening in April. However, there is news from Nov.10 on the Tribe facebook page.Doesn’t explain much though, I wrote a message to the guy who is on the island now. If you figure out anyway of getting the site to work, do post something here!

Go to “recent posts” you find this:
"

Hi Tuaka<

This is Ian, from the facebook blog you read, im currently wavu and managing the tribe on island.

We are writing blogs continually and posting photos, putting as much on line as possible, however for some reason they are not showing up on the tribe wanted vorovoro website, this is an issue that is being looked at. i can assure you that the project is still in full operation and tribe members are arriving right up untill the close for hurricane season. (jan – end of march)

The blogs that we add on here are automatically sent to the vorovoro voice facebook page, so all the blogs, pics etc you see on there are what should be on here too. Thankyou for voicing your opinion, we need to know the thoughts of online members as much as possible.

you can check out my blogs on here or facebook vorovoro voices.

Please feel free to email Ben direct to ask about the website issues.

Ian – Thanks for the fast reply! Awesome for being on-island! So glad you are there looking after things.

To clarify about the closing, the project is closing Jan-Mar for hurricane season, but will reopen in April. This decision is for financial and practical reasons. Bookings are always low during this season, and the heat and the volatile weather makes for a less enjoyable tribe experience.

Hi Ian, looks like the site is running 100% better and it is great to see your blogs. Many vinakas!
Looks like I have a friend coming soon to Vorovoro, Warren, he has been sailing with me and I know he will love Vorovoro!
