Tribewanted: Vorovoro

Am Mila originally hail from the beautiful island of Vorovoro. I was brought up and stayed there since twenty-three years by now. The last two years I went to Suva completing my studying, while on the island waiting for my graduation in December, mum was already starting her sale of table-mat and other handcraft the island to the tribe members.

On the island, Mum (Frances) weave mat for special occasion such as baptism of their grandchildren, funeral, wedding ceremony or to sell on the market. Doing these so, few of the tribe members have order mat from mum to take them back with them. It was a good source of income to the family though it takes a lot of time and hard work.

Later, Mama Jenny has help in bringing up a broader idea to widen her business up by selling the mat on-line. We started to work, sort out things together to put up what mum is talented of. So, starting of today, we are glad that it has been put up after all the sacrifice. Now the mat are ready for sale, if anyone interested please do not hesitate to contact me (m.miliakere@gmail.com)
