11 days into the detox, 11 days with no beer, 5+ fruit and veg a day, no red meat (except for the 8 slices of bacon on Saturday that was going to go past it’s sell-by date), blah blah blah, and ……… 8 lb’s down !! At this rate I’ll be a size zero model in a few weeks so look out for me parading up and down the catwalk modelling the latest heroin-chic shit. And check out the comments after the first detox post – got myself a Detox Groupie !!

With it being New Year though there have been a lot of the "Eat Good Stuff and Live Til You’re 190" type programmes on. They can be quite good fun – sitting there marvelling at how someone can be so fat without spontaneously collapsing into a super-massive black hole, surrounded by an inter-galactic spiral of artery-clogging gunk heading inexorably towards the gob-horizon. And there’s always "The Spa Of Embarassing Illnesses". I quite like the brunette girl who farts a lot. Needs to sort her emotions out a bit though – a few more hours in the flotation tank should do the trick. Maybe she’s on MySpace. I’ll do a search later – "Brunette, emotionally unstable, garlic enema". Probably get a couple of hundred thousand matches on that one.

That was until work called and I spent the next 4 hours as point person for some stupid problem. By the time Sunday came my spirit of adventure was limited to taking a two hour walk to Tesco’s (which is ten minutes away as the crow flies) to replenishing my detox supplies and work off the bacon butties. Been doing a lot of walking to complement the diet – averaging 5 miles a day. I’m a bloody athlete me. Not doing that route to Tesco’s again though, too many pubs to tempt me on the way.

Still working on the next batch of Dreams/Achievements and got some exciting Fiji stuff going on, but will save that for another time. I’m off to check out the brunette chick on the next episode down at the Spa.
