First Thoughts
Hi
I am a South African, living in London for five years now. I studied Public Relations but later changed to psychology. I watched the first episode of Paradise or Bust by chance but as soon as I heard the message that Ben was conveying, I wanted to be part of it. I have wanted to do some sort of volunteer work for ages however there just never seemed to be any opportunities that fitted in with my work schedule. (It feels much more real when you engage in a project such as this than just donating to a charity)
I think the project is amazing and really hope that we succeed in reaching all our goals…hopefully similar projects could be started in many other countries (something that I am keen to do in my future years)...we need more brave people such as Ben in the world!
I have booked a week on the island…however as I read the many blogs I realise that this may be too short…nevertheless I am very excited and am sure I will have a wonderful time anyway.
I will be attending the viewing at the Sway on 18th Feb and look forward to meeting everyone soon.
x

A week is too short, but it’s also a lot better than nothing, so I’m glad you’ve found the time to get to Vorovoro. You definitely won’t regret it. Have fun at Sway Bar on the 18th… wish I could be there too!
Hope to meet you in London Tracey, I have booked a week but am now being encouraged by my spouse to go for 2 which I think I will. I took the view a week was better than nothing as he was the apprehensive one, it now seems I have persuaded him with my enthusiasm for the extra week, must update this with the booking sec
Hi Tracey. Originally I intended to go to Vorovoro for 2 weeks but on the advice of other members I went for three weeks. I’m glad I went for the three weeks, but I also think two weeks would have been ok. One week is not enough though! After my first week I was just getting used to everything – if I would have had to have leave then I would have felt robbed! See you on the 18th.
Thanx guys for your comments, unfortunately due to my new job i can only go for a week so i guess i shall have to make the most of it….oh boy
Will be good to know some people so I shall look out for you Kate and Joyce. x
While I believe in a an ideal world, everyone would spend longer, I think you will still have a fantastic time. I went for a week and a half and still cant stop talking about it. Sometimes the less time you have somewhere, the more you get out of it as you make sure ever minute counts. I’m sure loads of people on Monday will tell you, a week is better than nothing! x
