On the eve of Earth Hour, a look at water usage...
Electric energy is often the first thing examined in ways to reduce our footprints, but water usage, as we know from time on the island, is almost more precious and important to protect. The recent World Water Day conference had some frightening and interesting information about where we’re headed:

So, this info-graphic exploration of what we use in a normal day was eye-opening:
Especially, the “virtual” water usage, which is like “food miles” when you consider how much water was needed to grow a cow or coffee beans…
Even if you don’t make any significant changes, it’s always helpful to raise awareness of what’s important to us.
Happy Earth Hour Day!
