Vinaka Kirsty As an islander from Fiji that commutes back and forth to Fiji we are very proud of this Project and that its happening in Vorovoro and what the online tribe is contributing to the local populace and the example of being eco conscious it is setting for others to follow.
Vinaka vaka levu sara (Thank you ever so much )to the Tribewanted members

ah, this is the article that was supposed to be run some days ago and ben posted about…the writer is a big supported, but i also think he articulates the situation beautifully. i hope this gets picked up on the wire and reprinted elsewhere…
Thanks for the positive comments.
Just to clarify, I’ve worked with Ben and TW project on the marketing side of things for a while. I had disclosed this in the FijiTimes article but the line inexplicably disappeared when it went to print.
In any case, I’m glad to have had the opportunity to highlight the project like this. Hope it can gain some additional domestic traction.
... and that photo they’ve used with the article looks really familiar … oh wait, that’s because I only uploaded it to our site yesterday! Luckily, I don’t think Tom’s the kind of guy that would worry too much about having his photos stolen without proper credit being given ;)
Seriously though it’s good to see that people are visiting the site more regularly, and in larger numbers, at the moment
Adam, I had given them a handful of different images for them to use (the grand bure, tribe members working, the island, etc..). These were all properly sourced through Ben and Aaron w/ permission.
They must have lost the pictures I sent and decided to grab one on their own.
Bummer…
No probs Jonathan, I’m just taking the piss. I honestly don’t mind what images people take from the site, because it means they’re talking about Tribewanted and Vorovoro, which is a good thing (most times anyway)
Great article, by the way!
