Hi Ben, just wondered how far you’ve got with the biodiesel for the boat?
Also just read about the spiders, of all the things, snakes and sharks I can cope with but spiders-serious phobia and as much as I sould like to visit all I can think about now is the spiders, especially if they are large ones! Sorry for the rant.

Having just spent one month on the island, and being a boat captain…
my comment is, I would love to see biodiesel being used, but this is premature, we have to deal with basic logistics as of yet, we are working on bio gas, and we need more organic matter to produce even that. Fiji is much further behind the rest of the world than most of us know, in many ways this is a good thing. Producing Bio diesel is a long ways off.
Spiders? One of the most aracnophobic persons I have yet to meet overcame her problems with seeing them around in a couple of days. There are some around, but it is NOT that bad!
Being in full contact with “friendly” nature can teach you alot. Every one understands your fears and everyone helps you overcome them. Vorovoro is a great place to start understanding how to live in and cope with our adversions to the less agreeable sides of a natural environment….
come and see!
