I think I want to visit!

Hi all
The first time I heard about Vorovoro I was excited but it kind of drifted from my mind when work got in the way. I had recorded last weeks’ episode and watched it last night. As I was watching it my mum called me to say ’ have you watched Paradise or Bust, I’ve just watched the one I recorded last week and I think you should go’. I don’t normally believe in fate but I just had to get on the website and learn more about it. Here I am!
I normally go on holiday it sit in the sun and read loads of books (girlie ones not deep meaningful ones!) but this time I think I want to go away and do something worth while. I have loads of experience it lots of areas that I think could help the island and I want the challenge. My house was put on the market last week because I want a clean break to do something new – I think I just found out what that’s going to be!
If anyone can give me any tips on the best time to go and whether there are any roles on the island that need filling then I really would be interested in hearing them.
Oh I am excited already!!

Of course you should go!!! Go whenever you want and contribute whatever you want. There aren’t any rules, really.
If you join TW and go into the Forums, you will quickly get a feel for what is presently going on and what upcoming plans have been laid. Any talent, any role…is welcome.
Agree with waht David (Gilligan) has said. If you go from about May-October, you can pretty much count on slightly cooler temps (28 C)? than the summer, but pretty much non-stop sun… which also results in most likely salt water showers and the like to conserve our water sources. If you go December – April, it is the wet season and it is very warm, but rains very often – especially Jan-March, where it can go nearly a week without sun. Personally, I am a fan of the wet season, as I am in the water non-stop anyway, and the waterfall shower is to die for…
If you like sunning yourself though, dry season sounds like your best bet!
Hey Tamara
Thanks for adding me as a friend, yes I am the same as you well up for the 2 weeks in the sun catching a tan, getting ready to go back to work…..well I have just booked my island time today and I am so excited yet packed with fear at the same time, its always the unknown..plus I am the worlds worst flyer…I did do Australia last year and just about managed the flight! ..but this will be the first time in my life I have travelled alone, I have gone all out and booked a straight 8 weeks…I thought I better make it worth my while and get into Island living which I cannot wait for
Hi Tamara,
Thanks for adding me as a friend too. I’m going in May – good time to visit the islands as not rainy season.
Just do it! Life’s too short not to do something that pushes your boundaries :^)
From what I can see on the site, it’s fairly relaxed about the level of contribution from anyone staying there – sounds like it’s up to you.
Might see you there!
Hannah
