Excited about Mother's Day on Vorovoro!
Ni sa bula sia!
I’m not a mother and neither are many of the women here on Vorovoro at the moment, but we are all excited about the super secret events the men are planning for tomorrow: Mother’s day in Fiji.
The veil of secrecy is secure and little has been revealed, but we do know the men will cook for us all day. Right now I can hear the locals practicing a meke (dance) in the Great Bure (main meeting house), and soon they’ll be teaching it to the men of Tribewanted.
The women have had zero input into planning tomorrow’s festivities, but I have dropped hints about being fed grapes and fanned by palm leaves…it could happen yet and I’m hopeful…
Whatever happens it will be awesome as the men here are all sweeties and of course we have an excellent mix of locals and visitors…
I’m off to drop another hint about being fed chocolate while getting a nice foot rub…
