Today I watched Ben’s January 2008 video and read some comments about the project being half done. It feels odd to hear the seeds of future events being planted when I hear statements like “handing over the island to the Fijians.”
It makes me a tad nostalgic and I’ve only been on the internet side of things up til now.
I can’t imagine how it makes those of you who have been there feel.

Pretty crazy how fast this whole thing has all happened, isn’t it?
I understood it always was going to be handed over after 3 years, so no big surprise really
gil, i think the coolest thing is seeing self-sufficiency and confidence in new skills blooming all around. the metaphors of seeds planted could not feel more real as we all watch the fruits of our labor maturing. i can’t wait to see it where we are in 2009!
