How fast everything moves on!!
Having just sat down to really read what is on the site since I went out to Fiji at the end of Feb! I feel that everything has moved on so much I dont want to go over my own stay really!! But I do have some pics I will add – Christy you asked me to add some of the village and here is what I have which is less than I would have taken had I known before I went!! I have taken more so these are just a selection.
I would like to mention how seeing all the building and the landscaping and the electrics, water etc that has happened in the two and a half years had me really appreciative of all the hard graft that has gone on. THANKS to everyone who had a hand in this.
I am very glad I was able to visit VV and although it was much too hot and humid for me, I had some wonderful experiences – high among them was the swim with Amy and Jodie around about 1/4 of the island, leisurely snorkelling and enjoying the views. Amy was a great guide. Extremely burnt calves as a result of flipper flapping was a small price to pay. And I had put factor 30 sun screen on!!
I had thought going to the loo at night might be a problem but every night was a clear starlit one and my torch (wind up) lit up what wasn’t. One of the compost loos has a night light on permanently so no problem there.
I probably was lucky in that I never saw a large spider!! And the frogs looked ‘cute’! The fruit bats added to the sounds of the evening.
Team Fiji worked tirelessly to maintain everything – it,s wonderful that some can travel over here for the Hampton Court Flower Show.
Thanks to all who helped make my stay so smooth.
