Tribewanted: Vorovoro

23 – Sara Jane Herb Spiral
Built in July ‘07 as a birthday present to island staff member, Sara Jane, the herb spiral is the result of a day’s hard work by James Strawbridge, Kimbo, and the rest of the tribe that happened to be on Vorovoro at that time.

The herb spiral is a spiraling garden erected in Sara’s Jane honour.

With development led by Tribewanted’s first Sustainability Manager James Strawbridge, the spiral is engineered to grow dry herbs at the top and ones that require more water near the bottom.

Originally controversial due to a predicted epidemic of stubbed toes on midnight trips to the loo, the Spiral has not taken a single toenail from the Tribe and gives back on a daily basis (3 times daily, to be precise!)
