27 – The new Vale
The tribe voted for more accommodation in February ‘08, and in March ‘08, Tui Koli and the team began work on the second major block of accommodation for tribe members staying on Vorovoro.
The new vale was completed under Chief Tom’s watch in June ‘08, with raised wooden floors, beds made of driftwood, and enough space to sleep 12 very comfortably.
