Improving our web site/project management

Some of the TW team members and I have been discussing improving the organization of our blogs and forums to better facilitate project management between on island and online members. It would be ideal to integrate a project management (pm) application into the site but may not be possible at this time. We are looking at ways to restructure the blogs to work similarly to project management software. The idea is to facilitate the creation of project teams that could support on island projects through research and personal expertise. This would make it much easier to have multiple longterm projects going at the same time and would help us to better utilize our colective human resources. Having found it hard to get through the various threads that often contain similar material i think funnelling topics into one thread would be great.
i realise this is not quite what you are talking about Ben but could it be similar?
Love the idea of project teams – i might even find one i can support!!
Are you still looking for a project management solution? Basecamp is good but there is a cost. I may be able to help with some free software for that purpose that would allow you to track teams, time and tasks. Just let me know.
