Im in Thailand, and i should be having a great time. But i’m not. I’ve been here before, and i know that this part of the world has alot to offer, but how can it ever compare to the experiences i have just had on Vorovoro?!

While i love to meet new people (one of my absolute favourite things to do), i have to be realistic in assuming that, in the next two months of travel around SE Asia, i wont form bonds as close with anyone like i have done many times over on Vorovoro. I havent be-friended anyone over here yet, because im already thinking about having to say goodbye to them in the not to distant future. Something i have done way to muvh in the last year….

Furthermore, i wont ever feel as at home in any of the awesome locations i will visit as i do on our little paradise island. I hate to be negative, but i cant help but compare. Ignorance is bliss, and if i was here before Vorovoro, it wouldn’t be an issue.

Och, I’ll get over it. Maybe writing this will help. Man, life is a bit of a crazy rollercoaster at times, isnt it? But then, i suppose, that’s the way i like it. Excitement is always around the next unexpected bend, and everything always turns out for the best anyway.

Apologies for the rambling!

Moce,

Alisi xx

hey alice, i totally understand, but maybe you can view yourself as an emissary during the next few months, spreading the word on sustainable tourism, tribewanted, and sharing some of the things you’ve learned. i can’t think of a better way for you to continue your impact. good luck!
