The absolute sadness of leaving a Paradise Island thoroughly ‘hit home’ when Geoff & I were in Nadi, utilising time before our connecting flight. Obviously this sadness was intensified, as we were leaving our daughter too! Only occasionally did our paths cross with Amy, the tribe manager, due to her work commitments, but when they did it was bliss!
Back-packers padded along the beach @ Nadi, only to flop beside a pool, slither in it or lounge in clinical plastic V shape chairs. The ‘Lali’ drum, (beaten by the Chief in Vorovoro,) signified the start of each day, here …
