Vorovoro, The Perfect Place for Kids

David Cale By David Cale, , Posted 08 Oct 2008

When I first got to Vorovoro I thought my visit would be boring but I soon grew to enjoy life on the wonderful island. It was great living in a Fijian lifestyle, making awesome friends and generally having fun and doing work including feeding the pigs and chickins, cleaning the litter from the beaches and other small but helpful jobs.

The things I enjoyed most were doing the 4 peaks during my stay, snorkelling on the reef trip with my dad, I also enjoyed the Kava ceremonies and wearing my sulu.
Alltogether I think Tribe Wanted is a brilliant idea and that more people should join and have lots of fun.

It was super meeting you there Dave, (even if I did insist that you kept drinking water, when we were on the 4 Peaks!) I hope your new term @ School is going well & look forward to seeing you on Vorovoro next Year. Give our love to your family.

Hey Dave. The Hammock Society misses you and needs some water-bombs. Can you help?

Hi David! Thanks so much for mentioning feeding the chickens! Good for you. No one ever talks about them much so I was so happy to see your blog. I’m the one who bought Ile. Did you happen to get to know her? I found that chickens make good pets like cats and dogs!! Please feel free to write me at EMA42@sbcglobal.net and tell me all about your time on Vorovoro and how you found the chickens and how many eggs they were laying. Thanks! Elizabeth in Los Angeles, CA

Bula David! Thank you for your blog, you were a great help here and you made a very good job at looking after the chickens and pigs! Vinaka

We miss hearing you and your brother giggling in the sea and being the best wing men on Vorovoro (lots of dondos!) but I know that your a family are planning on coming back one day soon…

Hope you are still wearing your bright, bula shirt in Wales! :)
