Will you do the sevu-sevu today, Olga?...the what??
Arriving on monday the 11th and it rained cats and dogs! Uhhh I came here for a sunny experience….
But the sky burst open just before we arrived at Vorovoro and the sun came out. Just three day on the island and already feeling at home. Was suprised by th serious ceremony yesterday. I was invited to do the sevu sevu. Lea rning the text by heart. Oh dear I hope I am doing well when the Tui Mali arrives!
And yes all went well. After my presenting the Kava ….there was the drinking Kava for the rest of the day and listening to the singing. I slept very, very well.
Tody is Labasa day to make my duth blog and to answer emails. There are 3 more people coming tot Vorovoro. They are buying the Kava and a sula for the visit of Tui Mali next week?
I think I will have a wonderfull experience, lrning, enyoing, meeting people, relaxing and helping out. Hope to have the time to read a book ;-))) near the fire or on the beach. to be continued…..

Hoi Olga, goed te lezen dat je veilig bent aangekomen. Heb je mijn kunstwerken al verspreid over het eiland teruggevonden? haha. Hoop dat je een geweldige tijd hebt. Wat is het adres van jouw nederlandse blog? Oh, en wil je voor mij de groeten doen aan wat mensen? Kun je tegen Tevita hard ‘MEKE!’ zeggen (dan weet hij vast nog wel wie ik ben) en zeg maar tegen Leavi dat alles 100% is (als het goed is weet hij nog wel wat ik ermee bedoel, zeg maar dat ik hoop dat alles bij hem ook 100% is). En als laatste, geef Va uit de keuken een dikke knuffel en laat haar de groeten aan haar zoon doen, zeg maar dat ik het erg vind te horen dat hij niet meer op het eiland is en ik hem nooit vergeet!... Als je dat wilt doen zou het super zijn! geniet geniet geniet! x Nienke
