Tribewanted: Vorovoro

I passed my driving test today. Hurrah for me! I have been driving for nearly 15 years so you would think it would have been a breeze, but it was like being back in highschool again. All my cool calm instinctual driving evaporated as I tried to do everything the pre-test instructor had told me. The test went well but I was a nervous wreck. I think it would be fair to describe myself as of above average intelligence but it goes to show brains don’t neccessarily equate to performance in an exam situation. In college I started studying Electronic engineering and despite a genuine interest in it (not to mention the test scores to get in in the first place) I found the exams impossible. I later went back to college to study Graphic Design which is more project oriented and I graduated with honours and 5th in my class. Just goes to show that the general education system doesn’t really facilitate everyone. Cramming and regurgitation can’t be the best measure of a persons intelligence or ability! It has been great reading the forums on TW and seeing the pleasure people are getting out of learning new stuff. Long may it last.
