Fiji takes Hampton Court by storm

Thanks once again to everyone who has helped with the show – it was such a brilliant effort.

So thanks to all of you who helped, glue, paint, sing, charm and laugh it was a wonderful week in spite of the dodgy weather at the beginning.

We had freestyle snake mekes, charm offensives for book sales, singing, rafting, and a fair amount of comedy!! Not to mention visits from the Fijian High Commission and Tui Kingston (the Mayor).

So thanks to everyone who was able to come down over the week, take photos, cheer up the boys in the pouring rain, and encourage people to part with their hard earned cash! It was a fantastic effort.
It has taken me more than half a day to count all the donations! We’ve had more than £200 in £1 donations alone! So we raised an impressive £515.17 from the flower show.

We’ve now raised a brilliant £932 from the picnic and the show together which is fantastic. All this money raised will be going towards the composting toilets and water tanks in Mali so this is a brilliant lump some of cash to really get these projects off the ground.

Special thanks to BK for setting this all up and of course to the Boys – they’ve all got new careers ahead of them on the stage and of course to Sophie for keeping the show on the road and the army of brilliant volunteers (I won’t put all names as I’m bound to miss someone but you know who you are!) – THANK YOU!!

We’ll be in touch again about more events and of course what is happening with the projects.
Vinaka vaka levu to you all!!

Bula Elene!!! would there be any of these events in Sydney, Australia anytime soon. would love to get one up and going here. i can think of hundreds (literally speaking) of people to help in fundraising over an event.
also if i could help in anyway then please just let me know, since i am an event student i can already think of a few things we can do to make it happen.
