I have finally made it to what can only be described as paradise

I’ve arrived and feel like I am away from all the hassles of life. No watch and the useless mobile doesn’t work so my only contact will be email or this blog when I go Labasa. Island life is so laid back nothing to worry about except the sandflies who seem to love me a lot but I am hope once they have tasted every bit of me they will pick on someone else. Everyone on the island is fantastic and friendly. The time is definitely Fijitime!
The view from my bunk is of the ocean if I look through the doorway of the Grand Buree. Took part in the Sevusevu last night and presented the kava to him interesting having to sit crosslegged for a long time and then having to crawl on my knees to the chief Tui Mali and make my speech. Then an afternoon and evening spent drinking grog (kava) and listiening to island song. Off to the school on Friday when we will take all the things that people have given us for the school. We had to leave some behind as we were overwieght on our bags.
Bye for now
Val
I might struggle to come home.
