Tribe visits Kia Island
The Tribe were privileged to visit nearby Kia island last week. Kia rises from the horizon as you look north-west from Vorovoro and has enticed many visiting tribe members. As boat captain Api delivered us to his childhood home we were stunned by the abundance of wildlife and smooth sandy beaches. We presented Sevusevu to Api’s father and he welcomed us into his island community. We toured the village, shared lunch, kava and stories with the locals.
